It's sad that 80% of these will go in the landfill. The material is barely better than disposable and you won't want to keep it.

I've gotten this cup a few times, but I refuse to put hot beverages in a plastic cup, so...while I like it, I think I'll skip this year.

Not specifically. But bringing in any reusable cup for your drink will get you 10 cents off (who cares) and 25 extra stars (this is the important part). For most people who will pay for a drink anyway, just bring your own cup. For people on the road a lot, this accounts to a good amount of free stuff.

That would only give me $0.10 off. I can never get the stars to upload on my application.

I remember them doing a promo with tumbler that gets you free daily black coffee, but that was a fixed cost for the tumbler

I think these red cup give you regular reusable cup discount of 10 cents and 25 star credit

Doubt the majority of people who aren't Starbucks regular will just go for the cup.

I think people get them for the collection aspect rather than use it for future beverage purchase.

In past years, I see Starbucks barista give the cups separately

I never put hot beverages in mine. But I use it for cold beverages every day. That said, I've gotten one every year the last few years, and I only really use one of them.

That would ensure said individual never drinks from any fast-food restaurant cup, a water bottle, milk jug, or 2-liter bottle of any beverage... let alone many 1.75L adult beverage containers.

I'm a bit concerned about microplastics for plastic cups (not just this one). Anyone else have similar thoughts? Apparently stainless steel can leash too if drink is acidic like coffee so the best ends up being glass? but then glass can shatter :/

what's the solution here?
