Cheaper than last year by a lil bit at the expense of game being free to play. No 1st/3rd party game like spiderman, cal of duty, sport game and such. Lame bundle deal imo but not that important for newcomers

The cheapest PS5 Pro could get around BF is $679.99 realistically. A mere $20 isn't gonna get many folks to buy. Maybe a few but hardly.

What will get more folks to buy the PS5 Pro, bundle w/ game or not, is the disc drive being added as a bundle for FREE. I'll be surprised if majority of folks here disagree with me on this.

This does seem like a weak bundle, no cod when it just dropped is crazy lol

Yeah you said it best. Speaking for myself alone I'm staying with the PS4 Pro. PS5 doesn't impress me enough for the $ to upgrade.
I see where you're coming from, but as someone whose PS5 is essentially still just a PS4 Pro Pro, the upgrade was worth it for me. Mostly consistent 60fps in performance modes that still look better than the PS4 Pro version is great. But man, the games that are optimized to take advantage of the SSD load stupefyingly fast. While the games visually aren't vastly better, the fluidity of mostly hitting 60fps and the lightning-fast load times are a massive improvement, IMO.
Similarly, one of the reasons I'm still using my Series X and haven't sold it (aside from Game Pass) is that Quick Resume feature. Picking up a game months later that accidentally fell by the wayside and jumping right back into the pause menu from when I last played still blows my mind every time.
Granted I also sold my PS4 Pro near the PS5 launch for $350 cash effectively making the upgrade $150, which is not likely to happen anymore. So take that opinion with the appropriately sized grain of salt whether the upgrade cost when selling your current system may be worth it. Also not trying to change your mind or convince you you're wrong or anything like that, just adding my own perspective for other onlookers.
Edit - I almost forgot that the PS5 is whisper quiet in comparison. Again, may not bother you as much based on your setup, but not having to turn up the volume just to compensate for the jet engine under the TV when I'm trying to play God of War is just another benefit stacked on top.

I hear you and thank you. I'm just one of those guys who find the PS5 too expensive bulky and large. Not a problem with the cuh 7215b PS4 Pro these days with the upgradable SSD

Plus, I have 1TB Series X and One X with 2 TB SATA 3 internal SSD.

Anyone know if the skins and vbucks are exclusive to playstation fortnite or will they be a code I can use on any fortnite account regardless of platform?

Is there any resell value in the Fortnite crap? I was considering finally picking up a PS5 this year but I have no interest at all in Fortnite.
Same here, I don't play Fortnite. I was hoping a standalone, no bundle deal for around that price.

hoping to snag a disc version at Target for the additional 5% off with the red card. I wonder what the chances of getting one are. It's year 4 of the console, maybe I'll luck out?
I'm in the same boat, and I noticed ABT offers a $25 off $250 for first time customers - I wonder if that will work on a PS5. I'm also wondering if a PS5 Slim w/Disc drive off eBay for $379 with the eBay refurbished tag would be worth it if I miss this deal? I already have a controller which I got new for $50 a year or two ago

ABT's $25 off $250 does not apply to consoles. I read the terms and it won't work, also tried buying a regular PS5 at it's current price using that code and it said it's not eligible for that item.

Coming from a PS3. I'm finally getting back into gaming, this time with my 10yr and 8yr. I was leaning for the Pro, as I won't buy another system for a whole other generation. At what price point would the pro be an instant buy at. If it's bundled with anything? Definitely will need the disc drive.
You can just get gforce now, it's 10, 15, or 20 dollars a month. The 20 bucks plan matches 4080 pc.

Why would Sony bundle CoD when Microsoft owns CoD now? Lol. Those days are over now

That's assuming they have the internet to run it. 90% of the US (talking land area) doesn't have anything greater than 40Mbit available. That's why game streaming is still very niche and will be for years to come. And no, Starlink isn't a viable alternative either. I tried it with PC and holy cow, the latency is all over the place.
