Great deal! While playable I would say there could be better options for beginners. These have a smaller profile and the bounce is relatively low even on their S grind. Beautiful wedges though and raw finish is my favorite look.

Awesome deal! Add a $1.99 towel to get the free shipping. I have a Vokey SM8 50* wedge that I bent two degrees strong but not digging the adjustment (actually, quite the opposite since I'm chunking it more often). Decided to buy a 48* and will unload my SM8. Thanks OP!

Appreciate the post! Putting together a set (Xmas and birthday present) for our 19 year old son who is just getting into golf. Callaway had some super nice deals on new old stock fairways woods and irons these past couple months so this will just leave a driver and putter which he will need to pick out and buy.

Keep in mind, these are raw finish wedges designed to rust.

Check for their best deal, I've found Maple Hill deepest discounts are almost always for lefties only!

I'm so torn on raw wedges! I get the idea that the rust is supposed to give you more spin but there's almost more maintenance involved as you have to tame down the rust constantly to a manageable level, eg too much rust is bad. Very tempting deal though as that's a fantastic price!

Rust does not give you more spin, if anything it slowly over time gives you less as it fills in the grooves of the club. The point of the raw wedge is glare. Since they are the most lofted clubs in your bag, it's likely they are face up to you while sitting behind the ball. Normal plated clubs will have loads of glare depending on the time you are playing, but rusted clubs will not.

Yeah... I can't do it. I can barely manage looking at my clubs with dirt on them while playing. Looking at my clubs with rust on them will drive me mad.

Great price on a very solid wedge option. I will add the tour issue DG shafts are S400 which are 132gram stiff shafts. So they are on the heavy/stiff side for most regular golfers. The most famous titleist wedge flex is a DG S200 stiff shaft that weights 128grams (4grams lighter and less stiff).

Regardless, great deals. thanks OP.

Wasn't planning on buying a new set of wedges today - looks like I might need to. Love that they're raw finish. Something about patina'd/rusty/beat up (looking) wedges just feels right. Especially from someone who often finds himself using them from the forest, sand, random mess of rough/branches/mud/gravel 20-30 yard offline and 50 yards from the pin...sigh, golf I simultaneously LOVE and DESPISE the game
