Are you applying for the exact same card as the one you're cancelling? If so, it appears you have to wait a month, otherwise, a few days wait is fine. If you're going to apply, pm me for a link
If I'm understanding you correctly, you can't have the same card at the same time, so you have to pay off the balance of the premier, cancel the premier, wait at least 24 hours, then apply

Does the 24 months period from last point bonus means the same SW rapid reward miles account miles or Chase credit card account?
I am asking the 24 months is means:
can my spouse apply for new Credit card and the points gets rewarded to my same miles account
or
Same miles account won't able to receive the points even if the an different person apply for the card.
I received my last Rapid Rewards bonus miles about 20 months ago.
i wonder if i need to ask my spouse to apply for the credit card but send the point to a different SW points account different from my account.
