For 95% of movies this TV is fine..football 120hz games 120hz, believe me you'll see a difference

In the old CRT monitor days, refresh rates above 60 were the norm. My old 1024x768 monitor used to run at 85hz and CRTs in general had much better motion clarity. LCDs are just barely scratching at the motion clarity we used to have with 120hz and above. So yes it is worth it, especially if you're gaming on a ps5/xsx/pc or plugging in a laptop.

Hi there, I am curious if the model year matter for modern tv? Saw a 2020 model on sale for pretty cheap on another brand. I did a quick search and it seems like the year determines if the tv gets support for updates, but does their software need to be updated?

The 120Hz is probably a higher quality panel with a faster response time for sports. PCs and game consoles are really the only thing that'll run at 120Hz. It will still come in handy for movie watching due to 3/2 pulldown, the 120Hz will give you much smoother motion.

Love watching footballs at 60hz or better yet ar 30hz. 120hz makes my head spinning and is way too fast for my taste

Hisense had bad models with the infamous failing Tcon board a few years ago. Other than that they've been pretty solid. Just replaced grandparents Hisense that I bought in 2018. It still works just fine.

60hz and no local dimming. I feel like there are too many better options this year... this isn't a horrible 75 inch for the price... but bigger may not always mean "better." Kind of sacrifices picture quality and responsiveness for size. If you only watch sports and movies, this will do... but as a video gamer, this TV isn't on my list at all.

I agree 100% with this comment. We have 4 Hisense and 1 TCL in our personal home and several more of each in our vacation rentals. Some are as old as 7 years and never had a single issue with any of them. My only complaint is that some of the older Roku ones have gotten slower transitioning from screen to screen with age. The FireTV ones are still fine. Don't have any Google or Android ones.
