Warning: All the cheap enclosures are 10gbps (which is still good enough for basic backups). However, it's the 40gbps ones that give the NVMe Gen4 the proper bandwidth to get 2000-5000mbps the NVMe advertises.
Don't buy a 10gbps enclosure for a fast gen4 drive as you'd just wasting money.
Not a bad price. Wish it was slimmer and longer to accommodate a removable USB C port instead of a hard wired one which could wear down or break over time rendering the whole unit dead and need to transplant the drive to another...

40gbps ones are also just wasting money if you don't have TB4/USB4 ports.

Note that 3rd party seller Store4PC is the distributor for Sabrent brand devices.
This is a bargain basement price for an NVMe to USB interface.
At the same time, the performance is targeted at lower performance NVMe drives (so in fairness, the limitations of 10Gbps USB is matched well to typical storage options in the smaller 2230 form factor; see a Sabrent review here[tomshardware.com] for reference).
For those seeking something well above a USB thumb drive this could be a killer option. I was just disappointed to not see any Amazon reviews where someone had hacked one of these apart to accommodate a 2280 form factor device... I'd buy that for $15!

This is perhaps the key feature for which this $15 adapter can be dinged. The chipset isn't the fastest... but neither are most 2230 form factor drives. However, an integral cable does suggest gentler handling or a limited life until the cable gives out.

The other factor you have to worry about with some of these enclosures is heat. Some get super hot to the touch and when they are like that, the drive will die sooner rather than later. I don't have any experience with this enclosure but it's been an observation with some of the cheaper ones.
I have this enclosure with a 2TB WD drive I had bought for a potential ROG Ally upgrade but never did. On my Mac Mini it gets 900MB read and write. The enclosure gets warm but I think that is the point of the aluminum case as it has a thermal pad to distribute the heat. It works fine. Now, my OTC Thunderbolt enclosure with a gen 4 NVME does 3000MB read and write, but that enclosure also cost $120 compared to the $15 here. I think it is fine for the 2230 drives if you have an extra one you want to use as a portable SSD.

Data rates peak below 5Gbs (see here [pcmag.com]) so no worries about performance limitations enforced by the Sabrent design.
Good luck!
