I bought a used pair of these. They do sound very good, but the sub gives off a constant low hum buzz. The power cable isn't grounded so it's no surprise. In the same room we have a fan and if we click it on, the speakers do a loud POP so they pick up electrical stuff in ways they shouldn't. I've got another set of speakers I tested on the same outlet that is grounded and it has no issue.
These speaker's volume dial is also one of those where you turn it 1mm and it becomes 5x louder. Like if you bump it wrong it will either make it super quiet or crazy loud. It's poor design. But for the price it's a beautiful sounding set.
Nice, I've been waiting for this to go on sale again.
I'm gonna use these to replace a Logitech 2.1 setup that I hook into my TV for sound. Mainly because I need a bass control knob so we can watch TV without waking up the kiddo.

Think these would be decent for a bedroom TV on the other side of the room? I hate having to turn the TV or a soundbar up to possibly children disturbing volumes just to hear it with a fan on.
Best bang for your buck on quality desktop speakers - can usually be found for around $100 when not on sale. I've gone back to the promedias 3 times over the past 20 years. Although, they are showing their age with only a 3.5mm aux output and lack of bluetooth (Klipsh did make another promedia model with bluetooth, good luck finding it though).

I have a much older model of these speakers, but I have them hooked up to my TV via headphone jack and it sounds great!
I can't believe they still make these! Always thought they were overrated, and in the age of cheap class D amps you can certainly do better with a pair of old bookshelf speakers. Still, good deal as they were 100 dollars or more 20 years ago. Likely better than most sound bars for TV setups.
