I have Cox internet and I got this deal in July for a iPhone 15. They were also offering $15 off internet for 24 months.
I ordered it online and waited for phone to ship. Cox canceled the order without informing me. I came to know about it after I reached out to through chat. Was advised to go to local Cox store with no reason given for cancellation. Went to Cox Store nearby and they were clueless about the deal. To their credit, they figured it out after I gave them my order number. Took around an hour to complete the process. Tried to sell me a charger brick and case for $50 each. I politely refused.
According to their rules, phone can be unlocked through their online portal after 60 days of phone activation. Didn't work.
Created a case and phone was unlocked after 2 days of creating it.
You finance the phone through citizens bank and you get monthly credits towards the cost of the phone every month for 24 months.
You can't get the phone and remove the service from it even if you are paying the installments every month. If you do, the rest of the amount becomes due. At least that is my understanding of it.
I have been using it for around 3 months
Biggest issue is the data is capped at 20 gb per month, but I am not a heavy data user.
Also Apple Watch cellular is not supported as of now.
Didn't face issues with coverage as Verizon is pretty solid in my area.
If you are doing this deal, you would be better off going to the store rather than ordering it online.

So did you have to sign up for a Cox mobile plan and keep the service for the next 24 months to get this deal? Or just remain a Cox internet customer and sign up for the Cox phone service?

Cox internet service is a prerequisite. Mobile service is an add on. If you cancel before 24 months you lose the remaining credits. I don't think there is an early termination fee, but need to confirm.
Anyone called in the last time this was around to add a line received the credits? I had to call in for my second line for the promotion since my line of credit I got didn't have enough to cover 2 phones, so I had to pay for the phone up front and they said I would receive credit within a few billing cycles but haven't gotten anything yet. I don't even know what form it's going to take...
Also if anyone is considering this, keep in mind having a maxed out line of credit is going to tank your credit score for a good while. I'm not sure if I can pay off the line of credit and still get the credits... it's all so confusing and under-explained.

Do the monthly credits get applied to the Citizens Bank balance, or is it applied to the Cox Mobile bill? Did you have to wait 2-3 months for the credits to begin, and if so did you receive credit for the months missed when the credits did start?

Hi. Were you able to get the credits on the device you paid out of pocket instead of financing? I'm in similar situation where the line of credit is not sufficient for all the phones I want to buy and they are saying you will only get credits for phones fully financed

No, I've been calling in to get it sorted and they've been jacking me around telling me they'll send it to some team to get it fixed, but I keep calling back and they'll say the previous person messed up the ticket, or they'll just transfer me in a loop to random people. It's miserable and I've spent hours on the phone in total, do not recommend
