Darn it... I was hoping someone wouldn't post this and others would find out

This was first listed in the Costco holiday brochures that were sent out, price $699.

Then ~week ago, Costco's holiday savings website section (and on the app too) updated, showing $799-$200 = $599. The advertised price dropped $100!

It originally showed on Nov 28 only. But now the latest ads show 11/29-12/2 (online only).

This is why some of you guys are posting conflicting info--Costco itself has beeen inconsistent in their advertisements for this. But it's clearly going to be $599. I think this is the best deal for an all-around 15/16 incher this season *for non-gamers*. This can do all the office stuff, video editing, 100% sRGB IPS screen that won't have burn-in (newer OLEDs aren't as susceptible but still do, so OLEDs may be sexy but not as good for long long-term longevity). My only real concern is that it's potentially hot/loud. I saw consistent reviews on both Swift Go 14s and 16s saying this. Build quality is lower than the Lenovo Yoga as well.

I'd like to chime in on the overheating issue with this line of notebooks. I bought the prior OLED screened version of this laptop last Black Friday. It was well made, but the cooling system clearly was not up to the task of handling more than the most superficial of workloads. It would stay quiet while browsing the web and working on documents, but spin up massively as soon as you asked any more of the laptop. Due to the tiny size of the fan, the noise when spun up is quite harsh and annoying.
Out of curiousity, I installed Counterstrike 2 on it to see how it would fare and my testing showed nearly constant thermal throttling with it only able to achieve about 50% of the fps that the integrated GPU can on a laptop with better cooling.

My Acer Swift Go 14" from Costco (same generation as this) is a complete turd. The fan runs loud fairly often, would freeze up due to paging issues even though RAM was well below 100%, and now it's stuck in an infinite loop with a touchpad update. To add icing on the cake, the model number isn't recognized on Acer's website so I can't find a driver for it. I'm returning this pos to Costco soon.

This has one of the best integrated GPUs on the market now and even bests the previous best AMD 780m on the 8840HS. It scores higher than many dedicated GPUs as well. For $600 these are very top notch specs and some of the newest hardware.

Touchscreen kills it as usual. Buy a tablet if you want touch.
yeah, that's just a blalant lie, Intel's drivers are terrible and stop their GPUs from ever being a selling point in their products

You have a point here. If you read reviews on Costco, there are enough reviews complaining about overheating that I will just steer clear.

I'd feel restricted now that I've played with 2-in-1's and 180 degree hinges.

The taller screen ratio on the Costco deal is nice if you will be doing productivity things. If just gaming the 4050 would perform better.

catered towards different purposes. Walmart one is more for gaming, better performance especially graphics with shorter battery life. Costco one is for daily driver, long battery life, newer intel architecture and hence more efficient.
