Darn it... I was hoping someone wouldn't post this and others would find out

This was first listed in the Costco holiday brochures that were sent out, price $699.

Then ~week ago, Costco's holiday savings website section (and on the app too) updated, showing $799-$200 = $599. The advertised price dropped $100!

It originally showed on Nov 28 only. But now the latest ads show 11/29-12/2 (online only).

This is why some of you guys are posting conflicting info--Costco itself has beeen inconsistent in their advertisements for this. But it's clearly going to be $599. I think this is the best deal for an all-around 15/16 incher this season *for non-gamers*. This can do all the office stuff, video editing, 100% sRGB IPS screen that won't have burn-in (newer OLEDs aren't as susceptible but still do, so OLEDs may be sexy but not as good for long long-term longevity). My only real concern is that it's potentially hot/loud. I saw consistent reviews on both Swift Go 14s and 16s saying this. Build quality is lower than the Lenovo Yoga as well.

I'd like to chime in on the overheating issue with this line of notebooks. I bought the prior OLED screened version of this laptop last Black Friday. It was well made, but the cooling system clearly was not up to the task of handling more than the most superficial of workloads. It would stay quiet while browsing the web and working on documents, but spin up massively as soon as you asked any more of the laptop. Due to the tiny size of the fan, the noise when spun up is quite harsh and annoying.
Out of curiousity, I installed Counterstrike 2 on it to see how it would fare and my testing showed nearly constant thermal throttling with it only able to achieve about 50% of the fps that the integrated GPU can on a laptop with better cooling.

My Acer Swift Go 14" from Costco (same generation as this) is a complete turd. The fan runs loud fairly often, would freeze up due to paging issues even though RAM was well below 100%, and now it's stuck in an infinite loop with a touchpad update. To add icing on the cake, the model number isn't recognized on Acer's website so I can't find a driver for it. I'm returning this pos to Costco soon.

how does this compare to the Lenovo deal couple weeks back? I know specs are bit different but its a 500$ difference and I guess getting another 16GB ram costs ~100. Not sure about the build quality though but if its costco it should have 2 year warranty..

acer brand relioable?
FWIW:
I bought an Acer Aspire 5 17" non-touch screen laptop (not a Swift Go 16) 2 1/2 years ago directly from Acer and was very dissapointed in the build quality. I had issues with the trackpad, microphone and speakers after 14 months of ownership.

There are a few reviews for this Swift Go 16 here:

This has one of the best integrated GPUs on the market now and even bests the previous best AMD 780m on the 8840HS. It scores higher than many dedicated GPUs as well. For $600 these are very top notch specs and some of the newest hardware.

Touchscreen kills it as usual. Buy a tablet if you want touch.
Speak for yourself, not being touchscreen would be the deal breaker

Hot dang, good price. Have an Acer 14" Swift Go and like it just fine w/ no problems (never hear fan), although bought earlier this year. Repped.

See my previous post, Costco messed up the ads and initially listed for $699, then $599. It will probably be $599. Screenshot I took yesterday just in case (yes I'm that anal-retentive).

Your screenshot says 11/29-12/02. When I go online, I see the same dates.
Maybe less on 11/28? Worth a check.

I have this laptop from when they put on sale a few weeks ago. On paper ticks all my boxes.
I never unboxed it in case something better comes along for BF.Will do a price adjustment or rebuy/return.

Debating on a touchscreen laptop for my 8 year old, 32gb ram should future proof him through middle school and perhaps into highschool. Right now, all he does is play Minecraft on a tablet with a controller, i thought this might be a good transition.

FYI - r/costco says that price adjustments for black Friday are a warehouse by warehouse discretion.

There's a decent Youtube review (this specific Costco item), as well as a good PCMag review (this specific Costco item). In the PCMag review, with benchmarks and all, the performance seems to be rly good for the price. It performed best amongst peers in many things and had good video playback battery life (second only to the Core Ultra Series 2). This also has a very well-reviewed webcam and microphone isolation audio feature (cuts out background noise behind you well).

I have come across some data points reporting/showing screen bleed (poorly installed screen causing light spots to bleed through corners/edges of the screen on dark backgrounds). The other issue is fan noise but it seems most recent reviews do not complain about that, so maybe it's been resolved? I would expect less fan noise on this 16 vs the 14 too, since it has more space to dissipate heat, and more space for bigger fans.

I guess if someone were really inclined, you technically could buy one now and test it out, then decide whether to return vs price-match later this month. You can price-match online purchases through a simple form on Costco's website.

Can this do some light gaming? Rocket League?
No hate on you, but it's kind of funny how people ask this so often about RL and Minecraft. Both are playable on a $200 laptop from like 3 years ago. It would be hard to find a current laptop that CAN'T play them fine.

OP please fix the title.
Deal is good 11/29-12/2. There's no mention of 11/28.
