Lowest price I've ever seen this light go for. Has the enthusiast recommended SFT40 LED emitter with great throw and 1300 real lumens (Sofirn still claims 1800). Buck regulator means longer sustained runtimes, better efficiency, and no ramping down due to voltage decreasing. Thermal regulation will still limit turbo mode to a minute or two before rampdown.

Free shipping too.

Ordered one. Be careful of the added insurance. I unchecked the box to remove the $0.89 insurance add-on and then on the final screen it was back.

Yeah I always skip the insurance too, the shipper is responsible for getting the package to the customer regardless if it's paid.

Also found a good review for the light, really solid marks all around.

Also seems like without the battery it's $30.99 if someone has bunch of 18650s laying around. Worth spending the extra $1.50 for me at least

Yep, the Sofirn (and Wurkkos) batteries are very good, definitely worth getting them if it's just a small upcharge.

I have the SFT40 in my HS20 dual headlight. Use it a lot for evening walks - good for that, not so much for general/closeup area lighting. Maybe the xhp50.2 would have been better for this light, for a slightly wider angle, unless you are specifically looking for a tight thrower.

XHP50.2 has a worse tint and is better for high lumens when other things don't matter as much. I think this is meant to be a thrower of sorts so SFT40 makes sense.

Out of curiosity - what is the purpose of RGB LED lighting in a flashlight like this?

The more useful functionality is the white floodlight on the side. Red is handy when camping or needing to keep night vision. Other colors, not so sure lol.

Thank you! It's a bit of a mystery. I go camping all the time and can't really imagine when red would come in handy, except to kinda draw attention (halloween?). I get the "keep night vision" thing but personally rather use moonlight mode to keep the pupils expanded. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Probably a narrow use case, but there are some parks / events that only allow red light at night. There's a few star watching events at dark sky sites that have these regulations. If you shine a white light, probably get beat down with a telescope.

low red doesn't make your pupils close, so you keep your night vision. You can see the stars at night and read something with red light and then keep watching the sky no problem. (don't know about the other colors lol)

I got this last time. It's HEAVY. No way you're keeping this in your pocket. Even in my camping back I've gone to other option.

Much cheaper on AliExpress. Today was the start of their BF sale. Shipping is almost always faster than from Sofirn (even when ordering from their official store on Ali, likely due to Ali having their own shipping company). Also, much better customer service on AE. I just bought (another) Sofirn Q8 Plus out the door today for under $40 this morning (without batteries, for I use only P45B'S). Definitely check out Ali for flashlights before buying anywhere else. I have hundreds of Ali purchases (mostly flashlights) with zero problems and shipping almost always under ten days to the midwest. The IF24 Pro was $19.

Love sofirn stuff. I have the original if23 and just ordered the if23 pro. If24 looking great also but I like the 21700 battery of the 23 series
