About this Item:
  • ONE BAD DAY.
  • According to the grinning engine of madness and mayhem known as the Joker, that's all that separates the sane from the psychotic. Freed once again from the confines of Arkham Asylum, he's out to prove his deranged point. And he's going to use Gotham City's top cop, Commissioner Jim Gordon, and his brilliant and beautiful daughter Barbara to do it.
  • Now Batman must race to stop his archnemesis before his reign of terror claims two of the Dark Knight's closest friends. Can he finally put an end to the cycle of bloodlust and lunacy that links these two iconic foes before it leads to its fatal conclusion? And as the horrifying origin of the Clown Prince of Crime is finally revealed, will the thin line that separates Batman's nobility and the Joker's insanity snap once and for all?

really good comic, helped made me who I am today twenty years ago when I was 18 (I do have complaints later as I got older, but cranky chaos wizard Alan Moore the writer also has complaints about this work)

note the deluxe edition is the more realistic colors v2 that Brian Bolland. In v1 Brian Bolland did the inks and John Higgins did the colors. John Higgins made it surreal and psychedelic where the colors just pop like you are living in a dream. Brian did not like that and since the inks were originally his design he did the updated "realistic and dark colors" that some people prefer even if I personally prefer v1.

I included some images below for some people have very polar opinions on the subject

I never knew about this. Thanks for sharing the comparison. I prefer some of the panels on the left, but overall, I think the right from Bolland is better.
