I had these. The Hans tag that's glued to the front sometimes chafes me when the waist band folds over.
I donated them!

What did you use pliers? Not so easy for mine. I tried.

Waistband folding over hasn't been a common occurrence for me with underwear, including this style - unless something's changed?

Good, Guys we need to watch out for ourselves as they poison us with polyester crap.

Don't fall for underwear sales until you read the material.

So polyester underwears are bad? Or those that stretch, whatever material it is? I don't like cotton since they make me sweat. What to do?

I would only wear a polyester shirt for the top layer gym shirt for the stretch to show off gains. Otherwise no reason to buy polyester at all. Also the lulu lemons use lots of polyester and other variations in the name.
Let women have that over priced crap.

Shorts and anything down there? I'll take the cotton or other natural fabrics. Def not in underwear or undershirt unless for showing off.

Linen
Silk
Bamboo
Maybe cotton blends if I had no choice.
Etc look it up.

For paj/sleep wear def no plastic/poly crap.
Poly should only be used for very specific reasons like costume or one off events. Or backpacks/luggage. Don't wear them close to skin for God sakes.

This hit pretty close to home, because I too have used polyester boxers from ExOfficio, Uniqlo, and others for years for the moisture-wicking properties (they do in fact work very well in that regard): https://www.theguardian.com/welln...als-cancer
In short, recent research indicates that polyester should be worn away from your skin, making it a bad choice for undergarments as koge811 is saying. Unfortunately that leaves us with the choice of being sweaty in cotton or potentially exposing ourselves to dangerous chemicals over the long run. I will say if you go with cotton, Nordstrom (for example) makes excellent supima cotton boxers that are a nice middle ground between safe and breathable.

FYI, these hit $20 for a 10-pack fairly often. Also, note that the grey pairs in this deal are actually 75% cotton, 25% polyester. Same with the light blue ones.
