How did you get this to work? I click cash back from PayPal and then it directs me to Best Buy. When I go to check out it only has a credit card payment option.
Do you have to go to Best Buy directly and then check out?
If you have a chase card with PayPal shown and activated as a 5% cash back category, you can add that card to PayPal as a (default) payment method.

Logging into PayPal, just browse offers and select the Best Buy 5% instead of clicking on the search results.

As long as an offer is added to the PayPal account that you're using to check out at that store, you shouldn't need to go through any PayPal store links.

I usually see PayPal checkout as a blackish rectangle below the yellow checkout. Maybe try browser or app instead.
…or possible your trying to buy a GC, where if I remember right, I believe they restrict most buying a GC w GC purchases; requiring a credit card. Could try swapping in a physical item (remove GC first) to see if PayPal reappears.

Not exactly sure which part you're looking for, hope that helps a bit.

Does anyone know how the PayPal 5% might be affected by Best Buy price matching? I'm thinking about getting Best Buy to price match the Macbook Air M3 deal to Amazon, but Best Buy usually credits the payment afterward (rather than just taking it off the price in the cart.) I didn't want that credit to mess up the 5% cashback somehow...

I purchased a $150 gift card using PayPal and within PayPal selected my chase freedom card as the payment. When I log in to PayPal, it shows the $150 purchase but it doesn't show any cash back. Is it supposed to show my cash back? Is there a delay as to when it shows up? I think it should have worked, because the best buy deal doesn't appear on the long list of possible store discounts I can use, indicating it was used up.

I bought a $150 Best Buy gift card. How do I tell if it was eligible? When I look at the purchase on PayPal, it says Cash Star, not Best Buy. And it doesn't say any cash back is pending.
Quote from HonestMammoth473 :
On Walmart eGifts and all physical GCs (Walmart or third party), absolutely. If Walmart sells any third party eGifts, perhaps not as many retailers sell those through Cashstar - but you would know as you would be redirected to a Cashstar URL during checkout.
Yeah the only way to tell before you make the purchase is keep an eye on the website you make the final purchase from:

External Link Notification:
*By clicking the CashStar link, you are entering a site hosted and operated by CashStar. Different terms and conditions may apply.

I thought you could buy Best Buy gift cards w/ this deal. Does that mean I am not getting any of the cash back?

I don't know if you bought a physical gift card or an electronic gift card. But I'm pretty sure you said cashstar and they don't sell physical gift card at best buy so I'm guessing you wanted to purchase an electronic gift card (egc) at bestbuy.com and you clicked on the link after best buy said this:

External Link Notification:

And therefore you completed your purchase not from Best Buy but from CashStar so ymmv so you probably won't get the deal (can't say for sure because we have a couple of three different deals going on in this thread).

How do people purchase Best Buy gift cards that are eligible for this deal? Does it have to be physical gift cards? Also, how soon am I supposed to see on PayPal the cash back or at least acknowledgment that cash back is coming after my purchase? Tx.

Edit: I checked my PayPal saved deals and the Best Buy deal is still there. It looks like I am not getting any cash back (except maybe the chase freedom cash back). For anyone else reading this though, it looks like you can buy amazon digital gift cards from Best Buy and they don't direct you to the cash star website. I've only been redirected to cash star when purchasing digital Best Buy gift cards...

This.

I don't have the Chase off so when I use the Paypal debit card (where you choose your category and this month the category is Tech), when you checkout using Paypal, just before you click on the Submit button, you can see where it says "You are getting 5% on this purchase." I do have the Amex offer for BBY but that's for a different purchase.

Get the free Paypal debit card; you may be able to use it in a pinch.

Last time I did a price match right after submitting an order it ended up being credited it towards the purchase before it cleared, so there was ultimately just one transaction for the adjusted amount and not a purchase and separate credit after the fact…

Tx. I bought $200 in Amazon cards and now see the pending rebate.

I checked my list of available deals and saw the Best Buy 5% again. I didn't even have to wait the 7 days or whatever the waiting period is!!!

I am trying to check out a Walmart order using PayPal. However, Walmart doesn't allow the addition of PayPal as a payment option. Here is the message shown under the PayPal option: "Paypal isn't available at the moment."

Does anyone know if Amex codes purchases at BestBuy through Paypal as Paypal or as BestBuy? There's currently a $25 back on $250 purchase with Amex and wondering if you can stack an additional 5% back from this offer.

Last time I asked CS to price-match I was sent to checkout at a specific page that didn't have PayPal as an option for payment. May have changed, this was a while back.
