The rumor on reddit is that they pulled all inventory off the shelves to hold if for black friday. BUT it became a bit of a "meme" purchase, so expect inventory to go very quickly when they do release.

I'm happy to wait, I'm inside track so hopefully they put them out early and I can get them.

I believe they have a 90 day return window. Buy it at $249, take it to your car and then take it back inside with your old $289 receipt. That way they have a perfect condition item to sell and you get the new sale price.
