Did you read and follow the instructions? NO? Of course not. Why would you when you could just go to the site and randomly bang on keys like a chimpanzee? The code works on $300 purchases. This item is $299. Add something to your cart to make it $300 and the code will work. Imagine that....

It really doesn't matter since it did come with 1/4 and 3/8 anvils.

How is this $526 originally? The tool-only always comes with sockets and it's 299 at home depot with no discounts

It's not...it's $299 originally. If it was more then the $299 price would be a "sale" price and the promo code wouldn't work on it

HD does that too. not with this tool but with others. claiming $900 original prices on some trash level tools and putting them "on sale" for $400. like this pile of junkhere: https://www.homedepot.com/p/324869940

yeah it does, as this uses special low-profile sockets with a male end instead of a female end, so if you want the SAE sockets it will be another $50, was just pointing it out since the description is not real clear

I would guess that the target audience for this tool is car mechanics who use metric 99% of the time. If you want it for working on bulldozers, tractors, or airplanes, then you'll have to pony up for the SAE sockets.
