Edit: I was going to buy two of this because it's has the best specs/price for intended use but latest review by Will Prowse (big Youtuber on DIY Solar) had a lot of app/Wifi issues, so I am looking at Delta Ultra, Delta Pro 3 or building my own.
I have a detached garage with 6/3 AWG feeding it electrons so I should be good for 50 amps at 240v. I've done the work to calculate peak load which would be about 22amps for this little micro-grid and usually about 5-8 amps constant. My twisted and admitted dicey thinking is the power station is probably not going to draw more then 20 amps charging on top of the usual load which still puts me under the max load for the 6 AWG wire with a small amount of headroom.
I will probably throw in a 40 amp breaker so the circuit will cut well before the wire gets toasty.
I realize this is not even close to code in any country, but I welcome any thoughts on my evil plan.
