Good old fashioned cost cutting. My guess is the internal batteries make these slightly more expensive to produce than the prior version. So they cut cost elsewhere to keep them in the same price bracket.

back on sale for 100 dollars.

this model is the newer one. it gets rid of the LCD screen which showed the channel.(not needed IMO)

this model Adds rechargable battery integrated into the mic which can be charged with USB C
