Could be worth it if you travel a bit and it actually covers most flights. That's less than 1 day pass to a club.

I'd guess they use Priority Pass. Be aware Priority Pass has contracts with many lounges in out-of-the-way airports, but often not in the big ones, or in some of their terminals.
At EWR, for example, the TravelZoo offer has the Be Relax Spa (Terminal A only), massages and aromatherapy. Water and tea, that is all for food and drinks. Same at Frankfurt, and only in Terminal 1.
At Cleveland Hopkins it is Club CLE, the most minimalistic lounge I have ever seen. Although I have free admission there, I never even go back.
All I am saying is don't expect relaxing food/coffee/drinks at many of the busy airports and their terminals.
If there is one airport you use frequently go to the Travelzoo webpage (link in the OP) and see what is available.
Just a few examples.

And many lounges limit access to PP only at certain hours.

Yea, priority pass sucks. I have access through my Capital One venture card and there are no good lounges from the airports/terminals that I fly in and out of (EWR, PHL, ORD, IAD, TPA, MCO).

Priority Pass really comes in handy when traveling internationally, domestic not so much.

Priority Pass covers free with most travel credit cards and thus the lounges often have wait times to enter.

Not worth $40/yr unless you have a specific lounge in home airport that you know doesn't have a wait.

If you mean premium travel cards, than yes. The cheapest is the Amex Hilton but it's not unlimited, the others start at $400/year.

Amex Hilton no longer has this benefit for new users and is being phased out for everyone.

Most lounges operate between 5AM to 9PM. No overnight stay.

Agreed! When I had a long connection in IAD, I went to the international terminal to spend a few hours in the Turkish lounge.

Agreed. I don't know if Priority Pass has gotten worse in the states or I'm just more keenly aware of how bad it is. I used to love getting to the airport a bit early to get a free drink and some snacks. I may still do that if I'm flying out of DFW and going to the C1 lounge, but PP isn't worth that effort. I was just at the PP lounge in New Orleans; that has to be the worst one I've seen. Very limited drink options, snacks are awful, and very little room in there. Just terrible.

Internationally, I think it's hit or miss, or at least the ones I've been to. The one in MAN was terrible, FRA was fine, EDI was great, LIR was terrible (although self pour draft beer station was nice).

That's right, I forgot, so now the cheapest is the Venture X at $395 which can be offset but only on the Cap1 travel portal.

Anyone know if this covers restaurants? The credit card PP does not anymore...
