These are typically used with receivers. The soundbar would need to have a subwoofer out or LFE out connection. Most soundbars do not have this as manufacturers aim to have people to purchase a subwoofer made by the soundbar manufacturer.
Had the same experience with it being too boomy. Went to the 10E RSL and like it much more

As long as the soundbar/device has a subwoofer out (which most do), it will work.

I bought this (or similar model) 3 years ago and can recommend it. My previous soundbar would always lose sub signal, this one never has. Keep in mind, this is a $150 subwoofer and you should be satisfied with performance.

Had this for awhile - way too boomy. Difficult to dial it in. Had it in multiple places. At this price might be worth a go because you can probably sell it for what you bought it for if it doesnt work out for you. I ended up researching for quite some time and ended up investing in an RSL Speedwoofer 12S which is quite a bit more expensive at $799, but worth every penny. https://rslspeakers.com/products/...woofer-12s

I have the r-12swi which I think was very slow and boomy, but not sure how much better the r-120swi is. If you're not in NEED NEED for a wireless sub, I would recommend looking for something else. But if you do need one, a wireless receiver is pretty expensive and this one first the bill.

I'm assuming the wireless is built into this subwoofer?

I have a RP-1400SW and have been too frugal to buy the wireless kit (https://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-WA...oofer-Kit/) @ $170, it looks like this only has one end (plug into AVR) and I couldn't use this sub wired and use this wireless kit for another subwoofer?

Did some research after seeing this deal. It got good reviews on Costco but not so great reviews from Reddit and audiophiles. Might be worth it at this price point but here are three other options that were reviewed much better.

No doubt there are better traditional subwoofers for close to the same price, but the deal on this is that it has wireless functionality (the kit alone for wireless subwoofers are at least this much). It's not really fair to compare traditional subs to this; if you don't need wireless, there are better options.

You (or anyone) familiar with a good wireless subwoofer kit?

I found this [reddit.com] recent reddit thread on compilation of some name brands but recommendations are all over the place
