I have a similar one, only larger. I suggest putting the food, bag and all, into the container. Don't pour it in. It keeps the container so much cleaner and easier to deal with in the long run. I usually mark the date on the bag with a sharpie so I can learn how long a bag lasts my two dogs.

Just a word of warning that complaints state the lid it not actually airtight and sealed with foam, not silicone. On the fence with this one..

Agree. This isn't airtight, I own it and can say it is a sturdy bin though. Certainly a good price.

If you buy this, first thing, glue the damn wheel in.

Love it, but the wheels kept falling out when I'd pick it up. Some glue, no more problems.

I got so sick of it i tossed the wheels outright... glue, yea that would have probably been a better solution.
