This might be posted in different ways. I just feel I need to post it specifically for your convenience.

How to do: Activate your 5% quarterly cashback from your chase cards (any) and link it to your paypal. Add 5% walmart and best buy cash back from paypal offers. You are good to get 10% back in total when you shop from Walmart or best Buy.
There are two deals combo:
1. 5% cash back from Chase cards if you pay with Paypal ($1500 limit each card), expired 12/31.
2. 5% cash back from Paypal if you add walmart or Bestbuy cash back offers. (PS.: Whenever you add it, you have 7 days to use it, so you might add it before you are ready to buy; After one use, you need to add it again. expired 01/7/2025.

I got Ebay gift cards from BestBuy and it successfully give me 10% back total. Then I can add Bestbuy offer again to my offer and buy more!
Good for the shopping season!

I purchased $1000 of physical WMT gift cards activating the Paypal offer (5%) and Chase (5% quarterly category). Chase bonus worked but the PayPal offer is 45 days out and still listed as pending. PayPal states it can take up to 90 days for the credit, but I'm doubtful it's going to work. The offer states "Store exclusions apply" (which are not defined). Just a word of caution expecting to get 10% off Walmart gift cards.

Also purchased a $100 Amazon gift card online at Best Buy as a test. PayPal and Chase both credited 5% each within a week. An easy way to get 10% off Amazon.
You need to go to your subscriptions/pre-approved payments in your paypal account. Remove the perms/defaults for best buy. Those vendor specific payment settings (which you probably unintentionally set during a past paypal checkout) override your general wallet defaults.
One thing you guys will want to consider (especially for high priced electronics), is that Chase provides an extra year of warranty. You lose that if you pay with gift cards.

Does Paypal through google pay/wallet not work at TapN'Pay counters anymore? eg. at Dollar tree, Aldi or at any restaurants whenever I try to pay with TapNpay through my google pay with Paypal, either it doesn't work (comes as declined) or asks me for a PIN.Tried at multiple outlets with the same outcome. Any one with the same issue? What kind of PIN does it want, provided I have tried every single PIN that I know. Does not work.PLZ HELP

I, too, purchased a $1000 gift card, and only one of the cashbacks worked. This post is incorrect and will make people spend money unnecessarily, it does not double dip.

Thanks! In the app, it was under Wallet -> Preferences -> Autopay. Sure enough, I had my AMEX set as the default there, which overrode the general Online Purchases default card

How did you purchase gift cards? Physical cards?

Thanks for replying, I'm talking about the 5% CB from chase, apparently after I enter the the card info, I couldn't activate the offer. I do see the 5% Best Buy CB on PayPal.
It is just your quarterly 5% rotating bonus for Freedom (OG VISA) or Freedom Flex MasterCard. Activate here: https://www.chasebonus.com/. If you don't have one of those 2 cards, you can't activate it.

Usually 5, but they always come back after expiration. It isn't a one-time thing. Hell, I'm reading that they come back within a few hours of using them.

None of the offers specify what is allowed under the terms, nor is there any limit. You literally just make a purchase with PayPal at checkout and the offer triggers. There doesn't even seem to be a restriction on Apple products, either. I bought the AirPods 3 when they were on sale at Walmart last week for $94. After tax it came to $99.64, and PayPal gave me 498 points (5%).

I purchased $23 of Walmart GC (physical, mailed) back in July when they had the offer at 8%. I received 184 points and they successfully deposited.

Thank you! I knew there must be some good GC deals this time of the season
Yes, Best Buy and Target, every year, during Black Friday offer $100 Apple Gift cards with a free $10 or $15 Best Buy gift card.

Can you use any cashback websites on top of this? Click on a cashback website link then oay with paypal?
Yes. It stacks. PayPal offers only require you to use PayPal at checkout. Standard terms for cash back websites apply, of course (e.g. no cash back on gift cards or apple products).

For Freedom Unlimited its just 5% right ?
Doesn't apply to Freedom Unlimited. Only the OG Freedom VISA and Freedom Flex.

i think, we can use these two 5% options to buy apple GC during thanksgiving time if BB or walpart puts GCs on sale

that would be 5%+5%+$15...unless paypal doesn't pay for GC purhcases
I had no problem getting my rewards for a Walmart Physical Gift card (bought online) back in July. $23 card, 8% offer, 184 points.

How do we know chase is offering 5%? is it already activated?.. Because I don't see any PayPal offer when I checked the chase card website
Check https://www.chasebonus.com/ to see if you have activated it for your card or not. Only applicable to OG Freedom VISA and Freedom Flex.

Do you have a data point on this or just speculate? The transaction does specify Best Buy via PayPal.

In the past, it has always worked for me when I paid via PayPal
Yes, multiple data points.
B&H Photo - used PayPal at checkout for an e-gIft card. Triggered AMEX offer fine.
Best Buy - used PayPal at checkout for an e-gift card. Triggered AMEX offer fine.

Even if it's a partial payment and still do some with the credit card?
