Before everyone asks.
The "hack" is that you can return the grease gun and the difference makes the vacuum $70.
The "free" item is actually split in relative cost between it and the other tool. You can see this when you add the items to your cart.
It used to be that you could ship one item to your house and schedule the other for pick up. You'd cancel one while keeping the other. Or just never pick up the tool you didn't want. Eventually it got canceled.
Home depot has gotten wise to this and now requires both items share the same delivery or pick up method.
But you can still just take the item you don't want and return it in person. You'll be refunded for one and keep the other.

Best vac in Dewalt's cordless lineup- I have all 3.
From the specs the Ryobi has higher CFM and can swap heads to be better on hardwood floors. The DeWalt seems designed as a jobsite vacuum and the Ryobi seems more like a home use one. Kind of wondering if I should get one for home, one for work?

The following method won't work on this one because I can't seem to select a pickup anywhere, but: Within the past few weeks, Home Depot has let me pick two different pickup locations for hackable items. Set pickup for the item you want at your usual location. Set pickup for the unwanted item at a different location. Make the order, go to the "manage orders" page, and immediately cancel the item you don't want.
Obviously YMMV. Maybe you won't be able to cancel the other item. But worst case you pick up the item you want and the other one will automatically be refunded if you don't pick up within a week.
I like this method because if you can immediately cancel the item, it stops from an employee wasting time to pick an item that will be returned anyways.

Yep, noticed that and edited my post. Thanks
