I've had this projector since 2020. It was a huge upgrade over my previous Epson 5020. Bottom line: it's great if you want to go over 100" for an immersive cinema experience. But a 100" 4k tv for the same amount is now the better buy if you're ok topping out at 100". So much so I've been looking into them.

A few things about the projector, pros and cons:

Pros:
-Great picture. Zero stutters, frame skipping, etc. Any video you give it is silky smooth. Better than any modern tv I've seen, on par with a Samsung plasma I had years ago
-Great upscaling ability (HD to 4K looks fantastic).
-Really good black levels for a projector. I've even read that it's better than the newer Epson laser versions, but have not seen them side by side.
-Excellent out of the box calibration. I had to make very few tweaks.
-It's made by Epson. The build quality is amazing.
-Only affordable way to get a big picture over 100".

Cons:
-I bought this four years ago, before 100" 4k tvs were going for the same amount. Those tvs will have better black levels, brightness, hdr, etc.
-About those black levels. You need a completely darkened room (walls, ceiling, windows) to get them. Any bit of light will kill it. I have dark blue walls, but the wife won't let me paint the ceiling anything but white. So I get light reflecting from the screen to the ceiling and back onto the screen. I have a grey screen to improve black levels and contrast, and it helps. But it's not tv level. Although I've even noticed that movie theater projectors aren't 100% black and are on par with mine, so that makes me feel a little better.
-It is a light cannon, but I have a Hisense H9G for daytime viewing, and a hidden 106" projector screen that drops down over the tv for nighttime.
-It takes a few seconds to lock onto content. So get used to not seeing the first few seconds of anything you want to watch.
-No hdmi 2.1, no vrr and limited to 4k 60hz. I game in 4k with my ps5 and rtx 3080 gaming pc, and it's fine for me. But does not take advantage of the latest tech if that's important to you.
-It's huge hanging from the ceiling. And it makes fan noise that tvs don't.
-Lamp life. My lamp started to dim after 2100 hours. I installed a new one earlier this year and it looks great again. But that is a few hundred bucks I had to shell out.

Hope that helps folks new to the projector game, or thinking about upgrading.

Can this be connected to a wireless soundbar system like the Samsung Q990c? If so, how?

First of all it doesn't play anything out without a streaming device. This isn't TV, a dumb projector. For audio out you will use the streaming device's output.

Not a value deal. For this price look at Valerion Visionmaster from their kickstarter campaign. Valerion is owned/sister company to AWOL.

Has glowing reviews on YouTube, especially smarthookup.

What is the advantage of getting a projector like this instead of a 100-in television? The 100-in televisions are less expensive than these projectors.

I've a 135" screen in my theater room and the experience of watching a movie on a large screen is amazing. It's hard to beat despite the lower black levels or contrast compared to the latest OLEDs.

Just an opinion from an Epson projector owner. I went from a 5040UB to an LS12000. Even though I got the LS for $4k I don't think it was a big upgrade. I know "contrast is king" but I didn't see a big improvement even watching 4k Blu-rays. I would need to see them side-by-side to be able to pick out the better visuals.

The 5040 died, the lens cover stopped opening one day. Tried to fix it myself, got it working again for about a day then my hack failed. Closest repair shop was 5 hours away and they couldn't even get the parts in for it. When my LS dies, I will probably just go to a 100" OLED (from a 120" projector screen).

I second the Valerion recommendation, have had pjs for over 20 years and am excited for this one. Got an elite model myself and cant wait, all at a lower price with newer tech and better specs.
