I have 9ft distance, so I'm thinking of getting a bigger 65"-77" depending on price.
What TV's would you guys suggest at 1k ish and under?
I was pretty disappointed with LG and my TV and how I was treated regarding the Burn In. It's been bad for years now.
I play sports video games, and watch hi def 4k content HDR/SDR and sports the most.
I have a Denon AVR-X3400H receiver and nice speakers so sound doesn't matter.
I'm looking at the:
Panasonic W95,Panasonic OLED Z95 if on deal
Hisense U8
TCL QM8
Sony X90L, Sony X93L if on deal
Samsung S90C OLED or Samsung S90D
Hisense & TCL = not bad, but are kind of known for quality control issues.
Samsung = not as good at playing low quality content, OLED burn-in
I have not looked into Panasonic.
If I didn't go for the Sony I might end up with a Hisense U7N / U75N only because it is sold at Costco and comes with a 5-year protection plan.

My family's 2008 Panasonic 54" Plasma Viera S1 1080p bought for $1,200 on deal is still going strong.
But idk what quality is like now as well.
And stacked up to these other TV's I mention.
People state that burn in is not a issue anymore but idk 🤷🏻
Also they say that TCL & Hisense are max life 5 years so that would be the same as a OLED if it went bad and was at the 1k price range.
Honestly I was happy with the picture quality of my OLED and wouldn't want a new TV if it didn't go bad.
But I do want bigger now, to be immersed in.
edit: not looking for a comparable price on the Bravia 7, just a good deal

The U8 looks good but I'd still go with the X90L over it personally. I just have rarely seen people saying they weren't happy with the Sony. Everywhere I read about there seems to be someone saying it's the best TV they've owned or something like that.
U8 definitely scores higher with some things, but quality control isn't something they measure, and I think the Sony is almost guaranteed to outlast the Hisense. And it's only $100 more. I think either is a good option but I like to keep stuff for a long time so that's part of why I'm favoring the X90L. I also watch lower quality stuff sometimes so the better upscaling with the Sony is a good point.

As far as OLED burn-in, definitely depends on your viewing habits. I have a feeling I'd be fine, but it's just another thing I'd be concerned about with an OLED that I wouldn't have to worry about with the Sony or Hisense QLED.
I'm not convinced it's an x90L as Walmart does do special models just for Black Friday and the link says:
"Sony 75 Class BRAVIA 4K HDR LED TV with Google TV - $898 (Save $600)"
