Better to get a Thunderbolt 3/4 SSD enclosure for $75 or so and adding your own NVME SSD. You'll get faster speeds that way.

I think T7 series is without DRAM unlike all other portable SSD's from Samsung.

What's the other series? I thought T7 shield is basically the same spec, and what T9 has is just a different usb interface.

T7 shield is level above. Dummy samsungs naming scheme - i for long thought it is only resin case difference. But reality it has larger buffer so won't throttle to 100mbs unlike the t7.

I have the older Samsung T3 and even though the mb/s seem right, the iPhone 16 Pro ProRes drops frames for anything over 30 fps. So maybe this may be the case with the regular T drives

Yeah, buffer is so low on regulars like 10-100gb and after that 1000 speed turns 100.

Yes, i bought 2tb shield for 99 and guess 4tbs were 180-ish.

Looking for another similar deal as above as i filled up my 2tb.
