First time posting a deal. Hopefully someone else wants this tool and finds this deal worthwhile. Acme is running a Bosch promo right now. Buy $150+ worth of Bosch tools, save $30. Buy $300+ and save $75. Buy $500+ and save $150. I've been looking for a 6in sander with a Festool Rotex style function, and this is about half what a similar Festool option (without Rotex) would cost.

Was not able to combine it with the 15% unique code offer

Best sander I've ever owned. Dust collection is great with net disks. The aggressive mode cuts through surfaces without bogging down. My only complaint is that the lowest speed is still pretty fast for a sander.

FYI it is also sold for $160 occasionally as "refurbished" on ACME.

Thanks, I think Acme may have raised the price on that unit. I put an alert on for the refurb unit 2 weeks or so ago, but I believe it was around $210 when I saw it. If you manage to find that unit available during this promotion, then I think you would get that for $210 - $30 (for spending $150+) = $180. For anyone looking for the refurb unit link: https://www.acmetools.com/bosch-r...34983.html not currently in stock.

Also, this deal applies to other Bosch tools, including the 5in Dual Mode Random Orbit Sander GET75-5N: https://www.acmetools.com/bosch-5...34952.html

I already have a 5in 3M sander, so I was only interested in the 6in to reduce my time spent sanding.

Great price. I bought one on Amazon for $318 in 2022. I'll second the good review for dust collection.

Got mine back in July for $221 shipped. Absolute beast of a sander, you'll want to make sure your work pieces are clamped or otherwise secured - this thing is super aggressive and will throw wood and/or buck around.

This probably shouldn't be your only orbital, would recommend keeping a smaller/less aggressive unit around for more fine/finish work.

Competitor is the ROTEX [festoolusa.com], which at this price point is a steal. FWIW I've got the predecessor and it's just as good as Festy products if you can get over the dust connection.

Here's the review that first turned me onto this. Prior to seeing this, I was hoping for a Festool Rotex discount this holiday season (few and far between on Festool products): https://youtu.be/7KxTH1gJe60?si=SFuADvBxRtQnd1Da

I own this and it's incredible. It rivals the Festool version that cost double the amount.

I own this... And it vibrates so heavy it's hard to use as my hands go numb (I'm in my thirties) and it's heavy as all get out, with bad balance so you really have to use two hands at all times to keep it level. Maybe mine is defective? Rotex takes off material like a beast though!

i have the older version of this and i'm hoping the vibration on this one is lower. If you don't need a rotex style for stock removal and still want to sand with low vibration i would recommend. I feel like you can sand for days with this one.

Would this be good to refinish wood steps?

I bought this a few months ago for $210 on Amazon. https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/976326

I've only used it a couple times, but wow. Very powerful and provides a very nice, even finish and the dust collection is incredible with just my shop vac and dust deputy. I purchased some off brand sanding discs on Amazon and have been most impressed with how little buildup forms on the paper and because the dust collection is so efficient.

These are called vix bits, they're used for something like a door hinge where there's a countersunk hole for the head of a screw, like in a door hinge, and you want to predrill for the screw right in the center of the hole in the hinge.

Great sanders, I work with a couple cabinet dudes who mostly have festool stuff but one prefers the little mirka sander that looks like a jitterbug and the other prefers this to any other sanders.

A few years ago you could get these on CPO bosch reconditioned for a little over $100, killer deal, not sure if that ever comes around anymore
