Good tablet for the price. No pen support and cannot project Dex to external screen. Still, I use it daily. Got a good deal back when Samsung had the top model for like $130, traded in a old cracked phone for another $15 off lol. Right now Samsung does not offer a trade in for it, presumably because it is to new? Or else I would trade it in for the S9 FE.
I use it a lot for a second screen of my laptop. At that price, it is an amazing second screen.
I have T-mobile version of A9. The CPU is slow and lags. I personally would recommend to buy a used S7 rather than this slow A9.
Fyi, i got thr 128 gig version with bigger ram a few months ago on samsung for about $125. I would pass and wait for that deal again. I think it will come back again. Very good tablets for watching videos and kids games. That's the extent of our usage

Just grab a usb c to hdmi cable off Amazon, install a app (mirascreen), and then you can use Dex on anything external. 🤫

If you have EPP, the 128GB and higher RAM version is the same price after trading in a crappy old tablet.

I was a big supporter of this tablet until I purchased and saw how terrible charging was for this. Don't buy.

I think this is the BF price. Lately companies are not waiting for the day after Thanksgiving to offer their best deals.

I think that's the deal I snagged, and it's a solid tablet for what I needed. It's my travel tablet, so I don't have to haul out my laptop just to watch a video or play a game to kill time.

I would avoid this tablet. Got the 8gb/128gb model when it was $131 from Samsung

Slow n laggy

Crappy screen with poor viewing angles. It's supposedly 90hz but animations look slower than 60hz

Charges extremely slow even with fast charging enabled and using a 67w fast charger that supports fast charging 2.0

Battery life is middling. Not good or bad but the slow charging makes it a hassle

I got an iPad 10th gen at the same time and it's a much better tablet despite less storage and memory

Save your money n get something better

I use smaller Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 (SM-X110) for travel, it is only 8.7" and easier on the airplane and airports. I travel coach, so, fairly cramped space.

I bought this tablet and installed a lot of apps on it, that was a mistake. It can't handle multitasking. So, I removed most apps except for streaming stuff like Youtube and Netflix, which was the only thing I really wanted it for anyway. Now it works great! Battery life is fine, it lasts for several hours.

Link? Because my understanding is that this model doesn't support video output over USB-C.

Edit: You're incorrect - no DEX over USB-C even with HDMI converter. It's on-device only, possibly can cast it though.

Are you sure this works? Everywhere I looked say A series tablets/phones have usb2.0 and you need usb3.0 in order to be able to do video out. On the other hand, I've seen people make it work with the Anycast hdmi wireless display receiver, but expect all the usual weirdness when it comes to wirelessly casting your screen.
