Looks convenient but still looks too led for me. I like the warmth of incandescent when it comes to outdoor lighting.
Ended up paying about the same price for some tru tone bulbs to replace my incandescent c7 and c9 bulbs for outdoor and tree lighting. Personally think they nailed the aesthetic warmth of incandescent bulbs.
Do these support Matter or Zigbee or some other local protocol, or will they only work if one uses the Eufy app talking to the Eufy cloud?
If the latter, what happens if Eufy decides to end of life the product or goes out of business - are these bricked in that case?
Im not sure if these do specifically but some eufy devices expose internal apis that can be controlled easily by homeassistant and other automation apps. OR you can look at BLE with esphome and a bluetooth proxy.
Edit. Looks like someone has gotten them working with WLED which can connect to home assistant.
Edit 2: woah, thought these were govee. Ignore the above. My bad.

For what it's worth, eufy is owned by Anker, a publicly traded company that's been around for 1 a dozen years or so. It's not a radom company... But also, not a powerhouse company around for ages.
I have some of their stuff and don't mind their app.
Govee has good ecosystem. It seamlessly integrates with Alexa, Google assistants. Recently moved to Govee so not sure about long term durability but products look pretty solid. Everything included in box so no extra hardware. Govee App mall is good for community and rewards.

Do I need to get two of these if the lighting doesn't to be continuous? Also Eufy is better or Govee?
Very similar. Just depends on the ecosystem you like. I haven't had any issues with Eufy. If you go with the Govee the version 2 is more like this set.

Biggest drawback of this item is it doesn't come in black color. For many homes, black is more blended and the lights are more discreet. Unable to move forward with this product, just for that reason
Had a neighbour install one like this. I liked the idea of having permanent one compared to renting every year during holidays. But I found that these were too dim compared to the incandescent bulbs which are installed.

The Govee ones come in black, and are probably better than these (more established for sure). Buying them whenever I get around to painting my soffits/facias black to match the trim and house I stained this year đ
