People just cherry pick the specs that have entered the non-technical realm of understanding so that they have something to complain about as laymen. The same thing happened with engine valve count on cars.
The base Android OS can function on 2GB of RAM and even less if you want to get skimpy.
The complaint from these laymen usually starts at not understanding that consumed memory is a good thing. When they see that the system has very little free memory available, they assume that it's exceeding its capacity and incapable of functioning. The truth is Android's memory management is pretty decent and functions no different than iOS or any other operating system in this regard. Free RAM is wasted RAM.
This is usually where the blame lies when people talk about a device being "slow", when in actuality, the eMMC is hundreds of times slower than the RAM.
Now, I'm sure there's some games out there that do demand a lot of memory. But they also require a faster processor and more storage, so this particular class of tablet wouldn't cut it regardless.

The Samsung SM-X110 (one of the Galaxy A9 tablets) have the same cpu and the same ram and goes for $110ish. But I think 4 gb is not enough.
Now those are 8 and 9 inch tablets in the price above not 10 inch, but I am sharing what I know for I prefer something larger than a phone (like two phones side by side) and smaller than my 10" ipad so I been keeping an eye out.

and what Widevine is, having dedicated hardware and software interaction where the operating system can not capture and copy any video (storing it as a separate file) that a streaming site is sending a laptop, tablet, phone, etc if the streaming site is using a drm based format. It is copy protection.
Thus devices with Widevine Level 1 can get any quality of video, from worse to best quality. Wideview Level 3 devices, aka legacy devices and some of the cheaper newer ones, they get sub HD quality video like 480p if some video providers let's say Disney or Universal requires Netflix to do a security check before broadcasting the tv or movie show as part of their contract of having that movie on a 3rd party service.
Any more questions? I was not trying to get too techie, but also this is kind of an absurd tech and legal contract world we live in.
EDIT: on sale at HSN for $76 and use the new customer $20 or $30 off. Comes with a full 1 year warranty. I dropped a 7" fire tablet that killed it a few years ago and Amazon sent me a new one and didn't want the old one back. Impressive. http://www.hsn.com/products/amazo...l/23261628

I still stick with my statement - if you're looking for a cheap beater tablet that you don't care if the kids break then this is your jam! Otherwise, it will be a frustrating experience. Don't take my word for it, Google it for yourself:

BTW, that Lenovo probably has a custom version of Android running 80 things in the background and all sorts of bloatware. Makes the RAM, processor, and the battery look inadequate when it is actually what they are being (unfairly) subjected to.
