I called today and was able to tack on this deal to my existing contract, meaning that when my current contract ends in April, this new deal will automatically take effect and I will be charged $3.14/month for the subsequent 36 months.

In case it helps, when you call the agent, they will need to chat with their support team to make the changes. The program code is: MCP299FOR36SELECT

You can put a period in your same email and siriusxm will think it is a new one and you do not have to worry about making a new gmail everytime.

I got a free trial with them when I bought my last car.
Maybe I chose the wrong stations but the ones I listened to seemed to play the same songs over and over.
I can do that with my own playlists

I have a 2021 mazda 3... My Sirius worked fine for a while and then basically crapped out. Any idea why? I had a free trial but never renewed because I couldn't get any kind of signal
My 2015 Honda did the same thing. It turned out the antenna was defective. Once I replaced it, it started working with zero issues. I am not sure if you have the same issue, but it was a relatively easy and cheap fix (~$75, IIRC).

They usually turn radios on during holiday travel periods, so I'd guess this weekend they might turn back on for Thanksgiving.

Usually that is long enough for me to remember that the Boneyard (sorry, Ozzy's Boneyard) just repeats "Iron Man" and "Crazy Train" every 2 hours. If corporate terrestrial radio had a hard rock/metal station, it'd be Ozzy's Boneyard. Can't even play deep cuts from Black Sabbath.

I used to subscribe when Howard was worth listening to, but that was a long time ago at this point. I can't imagine anyone subscribes for their non-Howard talk programming. Former O&A Intern Sam Roberts has a show? That is how you get subscribers?

Most of the time you just need Sirius to refresh your signal to fix your problem. You can do that on their website under your account settings

Tried that to no avail

What's the point of having Sirius XM nowadays? Just for people that don't have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto who can already stream from hundreds of streaming services?

I had SiriusXM a very long time ago -- I just remember them for the loss of signal when I go under overpasses. parking garages, or wherever there was no satellite signal. It's annoying.

Yea, I debated not doing it, but I have a lower-tech household member who does not want to mess around with Bluetooth pairing, etc. They just want to turn the radio on and go. I mostly listen to podcasts in my vehicle using Bluetooth, but I was able to add this deal for $2.99 a month, which will be nice as a backup, I guess.

For those who have never had the opportunity to use satellite radio, be aware that the sound quality is extremely poor. Additionally, if you contact customer support, they will do everything possible to offer you the best retention deal. Even if you reject the first offer, they will continue to negotiate. I have wanted to cancel my subscription twice already, and during my last interaction, they offered me a rate of $6.06, including taxes, for a year. I plan to cancel next year because it is not worth it. There is only one benefit: I don't need to connect my phone to Apple CarPlay for short trips to play music. They are desperate to keep as many subscribers as possible.

Clarification: $6.06 per month.

I could use the deal after chatting (just entering my radio ID did not work). I can confirm it is $2.99 out the door. The fees, including the music royalty, were included in the $2.99 price.

$6.06/month for a year or $6.06 for the entire year?

I'd consider it if they got rid of the horrible DJs and FM-radio antics and just played music on the satellite channels.

I drive a 2005 Acura RL. I had done the 3 months free several times. When it expires, they offer 3 months for $2 to get your credit card in the system (you can remove it from the account, after the $2 charge). After cancelling, they had offered me the $3/mo for 3 year plan, but I decline, wait a week or so, and repeat.

Cancelling service every 3 months is a pain, so I decided to sign up using the link in an older thread, since it states the plan will not renew, after the 3 years, and I wanted documentation. I followed the link, and it stated my radio was not approved for the promotion. I went back to the free 3 months, but was denied stating I had just come off a promotion, but was offered the $2 for 3 months again, so I took it.

I hate the cancellation process, but I guess at least I save a little for the trouble.
