Ah ok. We don't have any subscriptions for media besides Amazon prime (video). Kids are not allowed to search on their own, and we decide what content to put on for those brief duration of a restaurant meal or for an hour in the flight. So, we use youtube primarily and it works fine for us. I had to jump thru hoops for youtube on fire.

sorry i should've clarified, there are ppl with most basic needs that won't want to spend more than they have to and this $250 ipad 10th gen despite old, is more than enough for their web/social/streaming needs. ppl who value/need the extra power in the ipad mini/air will spring for it at the extra cost.
