It's not an android tablet. Apple generally provides support for a very long time. iPhone X got the latest iOS even though it's 7 years old. iPads released 5+ years ago still got the latest iOS even os update.

For what it's worth: I bought this on Amazon for $299 two weeks ago. I contacted support and, after stating they "don't price match," they proceeded to say that "as a prime member" they were willing to credit $50 back to my card. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Saved me the hassle of returning and buying from Costco.
