Not bad, but Rubik's brand cubes are behind the times versus more recent speed cubes. It's kind of a funny product. If you're good enough to solve the Phantom Rubik's Cube you're also definitely using a speed cube (and most likely not the OG Rubik's brand).
Can get a quite-inexpensive speed cube from Moyu or similar which would be a lot more satisfying to turn if you're looking for a fidget toy, e.g. https://www.amazon.com/CuberSpeed...08B1TF63P/

This is going to make taking apart and putting it back in the correct order a real problem.

So....4.6 out of 5 stars is not enough? 92% satisfaction seems pretty darn good.

For those not up to the challenge of a phantom cube, this is the one I've been working on. It is some how more expensive:

The tutorial I'm following:

there are 261 reviews for the phantom - 87 are three-star or below .... but you never know, according to amazon's secret algorithm that could still come out as 92% satisfaction.

i recently got my gf one of those and the noise it makes is unbearable. apparently this is due to the springs and apparently you need an additional lube purchase. this quickly becomes a 10-20$ purchase with assembly and time needed. for a non speed cuber, i suggest otherwise. this phantom is is smoother and cheaper out of the box. also, most people looking at this are looking at it specifically for the phantom novelty. speed cubes don't provide that. it's an apples to oranges comparison.

I got this and it sucks. After the first day, it's sitting somewhere in the corner in wonderland.

Absolutely true. The cheap chinese speed cubes are 100x smoother than the actual Rubix brand.

A good example of the store brand being much worse than the imitation.
