Interestingly enough I'm a current subscriber and have 25% off to extend my subscription which expires in March.

Thanks. Expired a few months ago when my converted time ran out, and I've been missing it. Bought some GCs from Costco and then used them to sub. Total after discounts and taxes was about $110 for Premium.

Yes, I had an option to add on and extend my premium subscription at the 30% off. Chase freedom has 5% on PayPal too

What tier are you at? And u saw it from the PS5 itself, app or online? Don't see the discount in the app Frown.
I have Extra for next 4 years. Want to add a couple more then do the Premium upgrade as they now have Cloud gaming for the PS Portal.

I guess I'm in the minority and I'll likely get a lot of flak for saying this, but if you play online games, it's not really that bad. I was pretty upset when they put PSN behind the paywall when the PS4 came out, and again with the price increases, but then remembered how much I paid when I used to play Ultima Online back in the day. That was like $10 a month, to play just one game, like 25 years ago. WoW is $13 a month at a discount if you pay a year up front. I typically play single player games with the exception of a few cross platform titles I play with my friends, but my kids are all about the online play. So for $7 a month at regular price, it's not really killing me and I welcome discounts whenever I can get them.

Can anyone help me determine what level would be best for me? Personally, my biggest goal is claiming free games every month. Are the higher levels worth it?

Wow I didn't know they went up by this much. I stacked 5 years before the tiers were announced and bought them on a discount back then.

On the Essentials (cheapest) you get the 3 free games monthly. On Extra (middle) you get a lot more games. On Premium you also get "retro" games and game streaming.

Also you can now do Cloud Streaming on the PS Portal (still Beta stage) but you need PS Plus Premium.

I know the most expensive tier is only $10 more, but it sounds like mid-tier is the highest i should go. I'm waiting on a new credit card and then I can pull the trigger, just debating if the extra $40 is worth it to play ff7 crisis core and then whatever random game i find i might play (my backlog is already so huge, it probably wont end up being worth it).

Thanks kindly!
