However, the rep also checked the stock for me at my local warehouse (Everett, MA), and they had 10 in stock. I got there at opening today, and snagged one. There were at least half a dozen there. And the app is still showing it in stock. I used an UberXXL to get it home, and tipped the driver extra in cash to help me bring it up to the second floor and wait for me to set it up on the stand I bought from Amazon (because the legs are too far apart for the table I put it on!) and help me put it on the table.
So far I'm liking it a lot! I was nervous at first, because it took a good while before it would do anything. I thought that the remote wasn't working, but I think it was just stuck or loading. But once it got past that, it's been fine. The picture is gorgeous. Much brighter than my 7 year old Hisense 65"er. I browsed through Avatar 2, and the picture and colors are 1000 times better than my old one! And the built-in Onkyo 2.1 speakers are almost as good as my surround speakers, too.
Ironically, the Hisense U7N 75"er I was planning to get just came back in stock. But so far I'm happy with the TCL. (And happy to save $500!)
Best $500 (with tax, Uber and tip) I've spent in a while!
