This thing is pretty stupid and provides about 1 hour of non-repeatable entertainment. You'd need to buy at least 3 sets to be able to have enough customization to make it an actual learning activity and to make it worth playing with again.
Unless you're buying multiples of these, I'd strongly suggest just buying the plastic marble sets as they're much more practical.

It's a set of 60 puzzles you need to solve based on the cards you get, constrained by limited pieces. It's not meant to be combined with other sets.

My kid has it and I'm well aware of how it works and stand by my comments above.

I doubt anyone can solve all 60 puzzles in a hour, unless your kid is some kind of savant lol. But I do agree that it's not as fun as the larger marble run sets that allows freeform play.

The age recommendation of 8+ is apt. Younger kids would find the puzzles quite challenging and quickly lose interest.
