First, for walking around a city there is nothing better. Being able to hear and maintain spatial awareness is incredible.
Second, if you have ADHD and music helps you focus it has been a game changer to leave these on at all times with low level focus music and be able to continue to have conversations. I realized this because I forget that they're even on my head and realized it was much easier to pay attention to conversations.
Other cool thing. I hate sleeping on planes with ear buds in. It hurts to lay either way but I like to listen to white noise to help sleep on planes and the Shockz weren't loud enough.
And then I realized that I could put ear plugs in and still hear the white noise. Comfy soft ear plugs.
Anyway, I live attached to my Shockz.

What's the general consensus on these compared to the Bose Ultra Open-Ear [bestbuy.com]? They're $249 right now and I'm hoping they go down to $200 on BF (but will realistically be $229). Are they worth $80 more than these? I've had Shokz for years and have the OpenRun Pro's and mini OpenRun's the last few years and was thinking of upgrading to the Bose since I wear glasses - figured they may be a tad more comfortable.
I'd recommend buying these 2's and trying them out, I was REALLY happy with them during the trial! Great upgrade to previous models, with the only downsides for me being the tad heavier weight and flimsy-ish usb-c port cover.

Bleed is pretty similar to my aeropex.

That's pretty much the target audience. I do a lot of hiking and these are indispensable for me. I use them at the gym fine though. I read the 2s are a little different from their normal bone conducting ones as it has an air conduction driver to work similar to normal 'speaker' headphones. There is supposed to be a 'classic' mode though to make it behave like the normal bone conducting headphones. I think that might be related to the issues you were having.
I recently lost my Aeropex and needed to get another backup (I have a OpenRun Pro 1). Mulling on getting this.
I plan to wear these while mountain biking and skiing. and I assume a loose fit will be a pain with a helmet.
