Shockz changed my life.

First, for walking around a city there is nothing better. Being able to hear and maintain spatial awareness is incredible.

Second, if you have ADHD and music helps you focus it has been a game changer to leave these on at all times with low level focus music and be able to continue to have conversations. I realized this because I forget that they're even on my head and realized it was much easier to pay attention to conversations.

Other cool thing. I hate sleeping on planes with ear buds in. It hurts to lay either way but I like to listen to white noise to help sleep on planes and the Shockz weren't loud enough.

And then I realized that I could put ear plugs in and still hear the white noise. Comfy soft ear plugs.

Anyway, I live attached to my Shockz.

First great deal on a new(ish) product Smilie

What's the general consensus on these compared to the Bose Ultra Open-Ear [bestbuy.com]? They're $249 right now and I'm hoping they go down to $200 on BF (but will realistically be $229). Are they worth $80 more than these? I've had Shokz for years and have the OpenRun Pro's and mini OpenRun's the last few years and was thinking of upgrading to the Bose since I wear glasses - figured they may be a tad more comfortable.

Wow I had never heard of those Bose before.. cool concept!
I'd recommend buying these 2's and trying them out, I was REALLY happy with them during the trial! Great upgrade to previous models, with the only downsides for me being the tad heavier weight and flimsy-ish usb-c port cover.

Yeah, I honestly don't hate the magnetic chargers on my current headphones but I would appreciate using the same charger for everything. How's the noise bleed? Can someone hear with them from a couple feet away?

Agreed, I had no problem with the mag charger.
Bleed is pretty similar to my aeropex.

I had the old ones first and returned them after a week and got these ones. Lot clearer sound and no more vibration muddiness with bass. Would totally recommend if your deciding between these and the old ones

I have the last model pros. If you were in a quiet room and someone had them on full blast you could hear them from a few feet away. Other than running I wear them in the office for audio books. At normal listening volume no one can hear they are on.

Tried them the other day, surprisingly good for conduction headphones, still expensive

These might not be for everyone. They give both me and my wife a headache when used for an extended time. They buzz a lot when playing music at high volume. Also not good for the gym, as the gym music is usually loud. The only thing I liked about it is you dont get sweat in your ear canals when doing cardio like normal ear buds. I think these are meant for outdoor activity like biking, running, where being able to hear external is the most important. I returned mine. Definitely should try them on first.

That's pretty much the target audience. I do a lot of hiking and these are indispensable for me. I use them at the gym fine though. I read the 2s are a little different from their normal bone conducting ones as it has an air conduction driver to work similar to normal 'speaker' headphones. There is supposed to be a 'classic' mode though to make it behave like the normal bone conducting headphones. I think that might be related to the issues you were having.
I recently lost my Aeropex and needed to get another backup (I have a OpenRun Pro 1). Mulling on getting this.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a deal on the Openrun Pro 2 Mini. I measure right on the edge but I've read a few people say the minis are a better fit for most people average head size or smaller.

I plan to wear these while mountain biking and skiing. and I assume a loose fit will be a pain with a helmet.

I wear both sizes with a standard bicycle helmet with no issues. If the helmet goes down lower to protect the bottom half of the back of your head you may run into difficulty though.

Which do you prefer? If the mini fits is the additional space a nuisance?
