For no guard stubble trimming and shave the norelco one blade is the best I've tried and least irritation. The replacement blades are slightly expensive though

My Panasonic trimmer is better than the 10+ different norelcos I've tried over the years. Not sure about this specific model, but I find Norelco to be underpowered for thick beard hair

I had a one-blade and found it to be a bit weak for coarse beard hair
Definitely less irritating when really close shave desired, but the right spacing in the blade wasn't conducive for maintaining my beard without repeated passes

I bought this recently. I don't maintain a thick beard, but it is not very powerful.

I use this on my beard and then a smaller trimmer without a guard to get it to just stubble.

Says I purchased this back in 2021 and I'll probably pick up another one because it's a decent trimmer.

Is it possible to get a consistent look (hair length) with these trimmers? It's been long time since I've bought one and I like the '7-8 day after clean shave look.' Is that possible? Also, what's the difference between this version and the higher-end version? TIA.

I have this, I don't recommend it. A cheap one I purchased on Amazon trims much better and the battery last a lot longer. It is a shame cause the adjustable dial does work well.
Also, this doesn't have any battery indicator. You are half way done shaving and the thing will just stop without warning and need to be recharged.
