Great price. I bought one last BF for $250 and that was a good deal then. This thing is pretty sweet, fills my yard and/or garage with sound while I'm working on whatever.

Looks like the replacement 120 batteries run about $70. So $100 more up front with the option to spend $70 more later if you kill the battery, or have a spare if you want longer on battery. The modularity is nice but with the costs involved I think the main argument is to be able to have more than 1 battery for longer battery run time.

Just like anything else, the battery will eventually become a problem, but these partyboxes don't seem to have any glaring battery quality problems. I think I would save the hundred and go with the 110. Few years later if it dies there should be something cooler for another ~$200.

I have two 100's and my plan has always been to just use them with an outdated battery inverter pack when the batteries die. The batteries in the 100 are only 36wH so even a dirt cheap old inverter will run them just as long or longer.

Be careful. If your old one IS truly 2+ years old, it might be the older Partybox 100. This is the (newer) 110. The 110 and the 100 do NOT pair.
