The Ultra 9 seems to bench slightly worse than the 14th gen in some gaming tests, but has a clear lead in other tasks. If you do more than just gaming, you're probably eyeing an Intel system. Otherwise, there's some savings to be had by going with AMD. Yadda yadda yadda.

With that out of the way, the first impressions on this system are a mixed bag.

Liquid cooling and a 1000w PSU are a plus, but it seems to have come at the cost of not throwing in a 4080 Super or seemingly not using DDR5 CUDIMM.

One of the big selling points of the Arrow Lake architecture was support for CUDIMM, which offers significantly faster memory speeds. But this is either using regular DDR5 or the slowest available CUDIMM memory.

Also, the power button and front port placement on the case is a little odd. You basically have to place this thing on a desk.
