I bought a mochamaster in graduate school in 2008 and it still brews great coffee. It's a top shelf drop coffee maker.

As much as I love saving money, I expect that after less than a year I would regret picking this model. The 60 oz thermal carafe is $100 more, which is $10/yr over 10 years. If I wanted to make double the pots, the 32 oz thermal carafe is $50 more.
