I purchased the chrome one and did not pay any shipping cost. It came in two days, and I'm honestly impressed. The shelves are not as deep as others but fit large Plano totes easily. The plastic collars do snap together. You just need to ensure they're positioned correctly, so idk why others are complaining about that. For the price, this is an excellent storage solution. Honestly, it took 10-15 minutes to piece together, and the weight of items will help lock the shelves into place.

These are easy to put together. They are not 3/4" in poles. I have put together 10 of these. Most are from 5 years ago. The one that just got delivered Friday has improved clips. One more is getting delivered today.

8 poles total, but they screw into each other. There might be a single level where you can't put a shelf
