I bought and installed one and really wanted to like it with my Home Assistant setup, but if you don't have a HomeKit hub (Apple TV or HomePod) then you can't link multiple Apple Watches to it for multiple family members.

I ended up swapping back to my Eufy lock that has the same fingerprint functionality. This lock felt cheaper in quality than the Eufy and didn't turn out to be much more useful without the extra hub and Apple HomeKit hardware.

This was $159 with a coupon on Amazon when I got it, so it's still a good price, but is never at the +$200 full price.
Had this for almost a year. It works flawlessly with their E1 hub. I unlock this with my fingerprint daily with no issues. I like that I can unlock this with my fingerprint, remotely, code, backup key, iPhone or even apple watch.
I agree, this unit is really solid. I've now installed two of them and have zero regrets. It's better than my more expensive Yale smart lock. The top cons that I'd cite is unlocking via the app with Bluetooth is slow. I usually use fingerprint or Apple Watch instead so that's a minor inconvenience. It also seems to be going through batteries faster than my Yale unit. Despite those two minor things I'd still choose it 10/10 times. Phenomenal unit for the price.

I really like the looks a lot. I've been wanting to replace my Schlage Connect.

Anyone have any real world experience with this?

I have Aqara doorbell a lot of sensors, hub etc. Don't have a single issue for last 2 years. Never have to pay for any subscription.
You couldn't bit the quality and the price.
I've installed a lot of smart locks as a contractor, you could not believe how many locks got broken easily with NO spare parts! I was waiting for this sale Smilie

How does the sensor for auto lock work? Does it reliably know when the door is closed so that it doesn't engage while open? Does it need constant recalibration? My Yale locks constantly need to be recalibrated.

How reliable is remote access?

Thanks!

I have had this for a year and the batteries were out after 6 months. Great look too. I bought this for $132 last year. I'd wait until Blackfriday to see if they drop further.

There is no reason it wouldn't as long as you have a zigbee coordinator in your setup.

Yes, but not on it's own It appears as though you need an Aqara hub even though it has Zigbee: https://community.home-assistant....ant/585553

Thank you for the HA specific info. What Eufy lock are you using?

Honestly,

How is the battery life on this lock? I was using the Eufy locks with fingerprints(with and w/out handles). The battery life is horrible, barely lasts a month.
