Amazon basics purple glue sticks are on sale. These sticks are a decent low-cost option for use with 3D printers. Plus the usual arts and crafts. The 2 packs are the best deal, but that option is hit or miss. They're at $0.25 for 2 but keeps selling out, only to return a few days later. If you need a lot of these, the 60 pack is also a decent deal at $0.18 each.

Note the liquid version is also on sale for $0.25. Bought some, but haven't tried using it to 3D print yet. https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Bas...7QJ3&psc=1

Pro tip, you can get bingo blotters, drop in some chunks of the glue stick and use 70% alcohol to make a liquid slurry that's much easier to apply, goes on smoother, and provides near the same level of adhesion.

Takes a little trial and error, even adding a few drops of water, but overall it's the best release agent/adhesion assistant I've used
