I have a couple of these goggles and I like them a lot, especially if you are working with dusty stuff that tends to come in from the sides. But I dunno, it felt like they scratched if you even looked at them funny so they never seemed to last very long before I got tired of looking through them and moved to a new pair.

I need to strip some lead paint around my house - is this a decent option? Or do I need goggles?

I agree with you about the scratching - if you put these lense down on any surface, they get damaged immediately. Meanwhile, my $1.xx 3M Virtua glasses can take a beating and stay fine.

Need a full on respirator for that. I'd wear a suit with it, just to be safe, and plan to throw the suit out and replace the filters when done. You can get "de-lead wipes" from shooting supply type places (shooters are exposed to lead a lot), and use those to wipe down as needed, too.
