Hard for me to recommend given the Innogrit issues.

You can walk into a Best Buy and buy a Samsung 980 Pro for $120.

Found this deal on Amazon which seems like a great deal given the technical specifications and features it offers compared to more expensive options out there. It has DRAM and claims it has Maximum Read: 7400MB/s, max Write: 6700MB/s.

Below are the reviews from Tom's Hardware:

Any thoughts on the brand: Predator? Acer makes that, but what kind of controller and overall reliability from Acer? Is this single-sided to leave room for more flexible installations?

I notice the same Amazon page shows they have a 4TB version for $219. These come with DRAM cache, so I wonder if the controller is good and how reliable? I like the 5-year warranty...

This review says it's OK, but the real question is whether to spend a little more for Samsung or Western Digital:

You could save like $10 by buying the HP FX900 Pro on Amazon. They're practically the same drive.

I have this and it works great, however I've heard it has a huge risk of just randomly dying because of something wrong with the controller.

This. It's great to save$$, but the 1st time you have to disconnect a drive & restore from backup: you'll wish you'd gone thrifty on a different component

When I bought it, this was an unknown. Thing cost me ~$250 at the time. It seems to be working okay, but I didn't want to risk it. Cloned to a 990 pro just last weekend.

These are good drives very fast with good endurance rating. If you are immune from the chicken little mentality I have a few of these with no issues as well as some very old s70 blades with no issues that use the same controller. The issue was addressed in firmware I believe. If I remember correctly it effected disks using ytmc nand. always dyor there are a lot of parrots on Slickdeals who don't even have the product. 😂
