1-star reviews @ Target & Walmart cause me to lose interest, although, admittedly, there are many, many more good reviews (seems reg. price $99.).

I got the windowed 8 Quart Gourmia from Costco. It says on the box and elsewhere that the non stick surfaces are free of PFOE, PTFE and BHA. I can't find this assurance on this model. If it is only the drip pan with the coating, maybe one could find a non coated stainless steel tray to put down there?

The drip tray looks teflon. The baskets where the food rests look stainless steel

IMO the high heat environment is likely to emit gasses from the teflon and toxify the food. Pass.

I had gotten a great clearance price on this brand but the French door version about 3 years ago. The thing is used every day and still works awesome!

Any idea on how large the pan/tray is?
You think they list the size of the pan/trays so you can see how wide/deep the inside is. So many fluff up their size by making it taller but that does not help for many things.

isn't the max temperature for most air fryers 400 or 450?

Looked it up - standard is 400 degrees. Some premium models like Ninja Foodi and Breville Smart Oven are 450.

So I dove deep and research shows "nanoparticles" are being used to create a non stick surface. Moreover, the cheap stainless steel manufactured in china has been found to contain traces of lead.

So basically, we should all just live in grass huts and cook by campfire. Ignorance is bliss, and normally I wouldn't care if it was just me but I have kids.

Would this be a 3D filament dryer since it is a dehydrator?
