Are these good for mixing or as monitors for a home studio setting?

Have a pair of these and while I can't speak to the quality of sound (which sounds better than my google buds) but I can speak to how comfortable these are over long periods of time. Not sure if these are anti fatigue or what not but it def doesn't hurt my ears like the beats used too

I bought the Technics in ear earphones AZ60 and i must tell of an issue I faced. The sound is no doubt very good, but the issue is that it intermittently breaks connection when using Spotify or even Youtube app on my phone. No other audio device does that over bluetooth no boses or yamahas or samsungs at least that i have. So there is something wrong with it. Hope you watch out for such an issue (if at all) and identify within return period. Other than that, Technics are and always have been one of the best..

Never had the problem you described with my AZ60s. Using iPhone 13 Pro.

At this price, you're better off getting a refurb Sony WH-1000XM5 ($199)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/314074071401

Or a new XM4 for $158

it is not even funny when so many people swear by Sony when they are no where near good enough in sound quality. Speaking from experience after owning and being disappointed by Sony headphones including their XM series.

I've tried many ANC headphones, and independent reviews consistently say that the Sony ANC from the WH-1000 series are top tier.

The commenter asked if it was a good deal. It isn't if you're looking for excellent ANC and good sound quality. You can get an objectively better pair for the same price (or less).

Now, if you want to argue subjective preference, fine. You're welcome to prefer these or any other set of cans you like, but that wasn't the question. The Sony XM4s list for $350 and you can get them for $158 right now

Isn't sound quality always a "subjective" matter given the variety of music styles and preferences?
A sound "quality" review from an acclaimed source doesn't necessarily make the product sound "objectively" better.

They use a usb-c to 3.5mm cable and they sound even better plugged in.
