They also have the XFX 6750XT for $289 which I was going to buy until I grabbed this one.

Just bought one for my son's DIY computer setup. $229 is a decent entry-level GPU for games, video editing, and AI/ML tasks based on this article -

This is the reason I went with this card. Nothing seems to come close at this price range for video editing work. Gaming is decent too!

I hope Intel can bring back some sanity in the GPU world. Now if they could only figure out their CPU quality control issues. Let's hope their GPU doesn't have issues lol.

This card I think gets a bad rep but I don't exactly know why. Sure there are cards better...but they also cost more. For my sons computer this card does all he needs and hardly ever gives him problems. Good value for the money

becasue the drivers always crash in corner cases for various games. If you play more than just one game where this is reliable, don't get an Intel GPU. They are still extremely early in driver development compared to their competitors who have been doing it for years and years.

Came here to mention new Intel cards drop super soon and the sophomore effort is showing way more promise.

These Gen 1 cards were functionally broken in many ways and they wrote software wrappers to make them work on a per game basis. Buyer beware on how well that ages into the future.

I don't think they were broken, and I don't think the "software wrappers" statement is remotely true. It's just when the cards initially launched the drivers were not well optimized for many games and as the drivers matured there were dramatic improvements in performance with certain games. If the hardware is "broken" then you might be able to work around it in software, but you won't get the massive improvements in performance that came with Intel's driver updates. What you are describing is simply continued driver optimizations.

nvidia literally does the same thing with their drivers. Every time there is a major new game released nVidia will release a driver update with optimizations specifically for that game. The difference between nVidia and Intel here is that nVidia has been doing it for a couple decades and Intel has only been doing it for a couple of years, so they were playing catch-up. This was especially true on older titles.

Another thing about the new Intel cards, they are the B580 line which presumably replaces the A580 line. As of yet there have been no leaks about the presumed replacement for the A750/A770 line.

This is the best bang for your buck I've seen anywhere outside of Zotac Refurbished in last two years.

However, graphics prices are doing weird things right now and we're gonna see a lot of firesale prices by CES.

What makes you think we will see fire sale prices by CES? I find this hard to believe since the pandemic.
